Google Drive adds two page layout in document viewer for larger screens

With version - 2.23.407.1 (apkmirror) , you will be able to view your document in Google drive in a two page layout by tapping on a button given just before the three dot menu in the document viewer screen.

This is intended for bigger screens such as foldables and tablets and the button may not show on your phone. It depends on the DPI and if your DPI is above 500, it will show up in landscape mode only (so likely it depends on the width of the device screen).

There is a flag for it but you don't need to flip it because it's enabled by default in the mentioned version.

Google is working on a "Highlight Video" feature for Google Photos

This could be a rebrand of the "movie" feature (just a guess by looking at the strings, so I am not sure about this)

Google added a new activity in Version 6.57 for this feature (can't access it). I was luckily able to enable the "Highlights video" option accidentally in version 6.56 (It appears under utilities) but it crashed the app when tapping on it. Here are strings related to it-

• photos_create_movie_assistivecreation_onboarding_page_one_body_rebranded > Create a highlight video of someone special, a recent vacation, or a recap of your year
• photos_create_movie_assistivecreation_onboarding_page_two_noscript >  Start by searching for people, places, and more

The newly added activity - .create.movie.assistivecreation.CreateAssistiveMovi elnputActivity

There are more but they don't give much clue about the feature. Will see in upcoming versions.

Here is a video of the feature that adds links when you share share screenshots from supported apps/browsers.

On Google Pixels with Pixel Launcher you can directly copy chrome links from the 🔗 button which shows up on top right corner of a recents app card. So whichever app support such copy link functionality from recents also support including links in the screenshots of that app.

But looks like Google didn't roll out this feature with Android 14 and is still hidden behind a flag which may not be available for user release builds. (I am running an AOSP 14 ROM which is an userdebug build)

Mishaal Rahman shared about this feature back in August but it was for patreon users only :p
