TUSD anomaly on recent Bitcoin pump

During the last Bitcoin pump, TUSD volume increased 5 times. Looks like Chinese investors used TUSD to buy Tether. TUSD has a trading pair on a bunch of Chinese exchanges like Bit-Z, Top.One Exchange, etc. Interestingly, these exchanges have only one TUSD pair which is TUSD / USDT. Even now TUSD / USDT is the most popular trading pair (2nd and 4th volume positions) on these exchanges.

TUSD haven`t been used for buying BTC directly, it looks like TUSD was used as the gateway from Chinese YUAN to USDT, which in its turn was used to buy BTC and other Cryptocurrencies.

What are your thoughts about this anomaly? How Chinese investors can get TUSD for Chinese YUAN? Can TUSD volumes increase signal that Chinese buy Tether?

Bitcoin Halving is getting closer.

To keep inflation under control, the bitcoin protocol was programmed with a hard limit of 21 million, with new bitcoins entering the system as an incentive for network processors (“miners”) in a gradual and controlled rhythm. The rate at which they are created is reduced by half every four years. The expected date of the next halving is 15 May 2020. On that date, the block [subsidy] will go from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC.

A lot of analysts pointed out that previously halving affected BTC price positively as can be seen on the picture but there are some doubts that pump of the price will happen after the next halving.

Survey - Bitcoin ETF Unlikely To Be Approved in Short term.

Only 33% of respondents believe that Bitcoin ETF can be approved this year, 43% believe that it will take more time and 23% strongly think that Bitcoin ETF won`t be approved at all. However, majority of respondents thinks that ETF will increase the legitimacy of cryptocurrency and will lead to a new bull run.
