Rimo Town was struck by a 30cm tsunami at 10:46 AM local time, with a total wave height reaching 3 metres.

A 40cm tsunami was recorded at Tokachi Port, with the total wave height also estimated at 3 metres.

A 30cm tsunami was observed at Ofunato Port.

A 40cm tsunami was reported at Hachinohe Port in northern Japan.

30cm waves were recorded at Mombetsu Port, Esashi Town, and Onahama Port.

Oarai Port saw a 30cm wave, while Tomakomai East Port recorded a 40cm wave.
