🇮🇱 - bit of a rant:
an Israeli Journalist on an IDF report:
I find it strange that the IDF knows the identities of those who participated in a few hour long invasion, moreover, I find it even weirder the fact that they're still searching and needing to neutralize them even though only 1500 Militants from AlQassam had taken part in October 7, considering how 'satisfied' the IDF is with its progress, painting it as if AlQassam no longer works in a military framework anymore, and that most of its men (more than 50%) are dead according to IDF data just makes no sense.
Such claims have been made every so often by the IDF, many airstrikes have been justified by simply putting the blame on 'Hamas's October 7 participants', Especially this one, where this airstrike had taken the life of Ismail Haniyah's (Political Hamas leader) sister life, Which id find extremely unlikely that she'd coincidently be sitting with AlQassam militants, rather its a deliberate assassination to put pressure on Hamas-Israel negotiations, in hopes to find a deal before the IDF announces 'Victory' and withdraw from Rafah (which is likely to happen extremely soon, possibly within days).
an Israeli Journalist on an IDF report:
Hamas terrorists who participated in the October 7 onslaught and were involved in holding hostages, were targeted in airstrikes overnight in Gaza City, the military says.
The IDF says fighter jets struck two buildings in Gaza City's Shati camp and Daraj neighbourhood, which it says were used by Hamas. It says the Hamas operatives were based out of school compounds.
"The terrorists were involved in planning many terror attacks against Israel, and some of them were involved in holding hostages and participating in the massacre on October 7," the IDF says in statement.
The military says it carried out aerial surveillance, used "precision munitions," and employed other intelligence, to mitigate harm to civilians in the strikes.
At least 10 Palestinian were reported killed in the strike in Shati, including the sister of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. In Daraj, at least another eight Palestinians were killed, according to media reports in Gaza.
"The Hamas terrorist organization continuously violates international law by systematically exploiting civilian structures and using the civilian population as human shields for its terror activity against Israel," the IDF adds in a statement.
