Saudi Arabia has banned its male citizens from marrying women from low-level converts from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Chad, and Myanmar.

This regulation aims to discourage Saudi men from marrying foreigners and imposes strict formalities, including government approval and submission of marriage applications through official channels.

The ban affects about 500,000 women from these countries residing in Saudi Arabia.
