📌 In a major boost to Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Ministry of Defence today signed a contract with Chowgule & Company Pvt. Ltd., Goa for six Air Cushion Vehicles for the Indian Coast Guard. India's chicken neck dilemma:
▪️Siliguri corridor or chicken neck corridor, is a narrow stretch of land connecting the seven states of eastern India with rest of the country
▪️The minimum width of this corridor is roughly 22 km.
▪️It is surrounded by districts like North Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri of West Bengal, Kishanganj of Bihar and Bangladesh, all having high jihadi population percentage.
▪️Given the fact that many islamists from both India and Bangladesh have threatened on public platform, about choking this corridor, and cutting the eastern states off, Indian establishment must understand the seriousness of the matter and endeavour to expand this corridor and control the demographics.

▪️One method of doing so, is to make a sizeable chunk of Bangladeshi Hindus migrate to the north of Bangladesh, and then annex that region.
▪️Other method is to amalgamate Nepal or turn it into Indian protectorate, given the fact that their bordering districts like Ilam, Jhapa, Morang already have a favourable demographics.
▪️Protection of this narrow corridor, through various means, including bychanging surrounding demographics, is a must if Indian state wants to protect its sovereignty over this regions from various threats.
