Protesters' Death Sentences - The Bloodthirsty Regime’s (IR) Endless Violence

متن ایمیل:
To Whom It May Concern,
To suppress the mass demonstrations all over Iran, the evil Islamic Republic regime in Iran utilises the most brutal methods to intimidate, threaten, and crack down on protesters. As you know, they have killed so many protesters by shotguns and batons.
They have killed more than 52 children under the age of 18 and even attacked schools and killed students.
Besides these crimes, more than thousands of Iranian protesters have been arrested and are currently under brutal torture and harsh conditions in Islamic Republic prisons.
The dictatorship Islamic Republic of Iran has been holding "unofficial" trials for nine detained protesters have and convicted them of charges that are punishable by death according to Islamic law, and the death sentence of two of them (Mohammad Ghobadloo and Abbas Deris) has been finalized recently. This corrupt regime has subjected them to severe torture that has led to false confessions and forbade them access to their own lawyers. This practice is illegal, even under the current regime constitution too! And this is one of many reasons that the people deserve and demand a regime change.
In fact, they will likely finalize and execute the punishment soon because the dictatorship is going to commit mass murder in order to instill fear in the populace and put an end to the other protests. So, for this reason, and since there are no functional human rights organizations, judicial independence, and fair court in Iran, we are reaching you to sincerely ask you to utilize your power and influence to exert pressure on the Islamic Republic government for terminating the execution.
I have listed the names of the people who have been convicted to the charges which leads to death here for your reference:

Mohammad Ghobadlou,
Saman Seidi (Yasin),
Mohammad Boroughani,
Saeed Shirazi,
Soheil Khoshdel (17 years old),
Manouchehr Mehmannavaz,
Abolfazl Mehri Hossein Hajilou,
Mohsen Rezazadeh Gharaghlou,
Abbas Deris,
Mahan Sedarat

On behalf of the Iranian community, thank you so much for considering our request as an urgent one.

Your faithfully,
نام و نام خانوادگی

You're on your own,kid theory since it's finally getting the attention it deserves:
I believe that the song refers to Margaret March from the book "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott. Margaret had two nicknames, Meg for her family and Daisy amongst her rich friends. (Apparently, Daisy was a common nickname for Margarets in the 19th Century). Meg's character throughout the book is her dreaming of a rich husband, of the luxuries in life and her character development where she grows out of it.
From all four of the sisters, Meg is the most traditionally feminine, she's beautiful, and a proper good girl by the standards of that time, she's a romantic who wants to marry a man she loves, a rich Prince Charming.
She has a phase where she mingles extensively with the affluent crowd who call her by the nickname Daisy. However she soon realises the downside of that life, falls in love with a poor tutor and learns to appreciate the simpler pleasures of life, has a happy married life with many kids.2
I think the 16-17 year old romantic girl from this song relates to this arc, wanted the same things for herself. However the boy she loves loves her not ("I picked the petals, he loves me not" is the next line) and she realises that the only reason keeping her in town was moot.
She finds a different path, her art, and through that her great escape from the original life she had imagined for herself. I'm not sure if her choice of Daisy instead of Meg has any significance - as in whether she's saying So long to the version of Meg who wanted luxuries and to be in rich circles ("the jokes weren't funny, I took the money")

Bonus Theory:
Daisy May kinda sounds like dismay, and she's saying goodbye to dismay by escaping the town like she always dreamed.
