President Bolsonaro wants to expose health officials who approved Covid vaccine for kids - despite death threats

Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro wants to publish the names of health officials who support child vaccination names so the public “could come to its own judgements.”

Brazil’s health regulator Anvisa had released a statement last October saying five directors had received death threats, while granting approval for Pfizer shots to 5–11-year-olds on Thursday.

Bolsonaro’s approval rating has plummeted to the low 20s in the most recent polls with many voters citing his skepticism of vaccines and social distancing as a cause for over 618k Covid deaths.
