The first is Donald Trump's 2013 induction speech into the WWE Hall of Fame, where he notes that his relationship with the sport began at Wrestlemania #4, which was held in 1988 at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. The headline fight was Andre the Giant vs Hulk Hogan, and the event was the first time a battle royale elimination tournament was ever held as a noscript fight.
The other video is from that same year—1988— at the RNC Convention, the first time Donald Trump attended, revealing himself as a conservative and a Republican. Larry King asked if he would ever run for president, or consider being George Bush's VP, and Trump said he doesn't consider himself in alignment with the Republican elite— said they don't like him very much— and that he relates more to the working class.
Now we have a battle royale elimination tournament to decide the Democrat candidate, just days after Hulk Hogan spoke at the RNC Convention and branded this chapter of the story "Trumpmania" ?
