For those wondering, I have done my research and consulted Muslim scholars (in direct conversation) on this topic. They have affirmed everything I have written, and even started following my accounts. Their statements on this subject are readily available online, but they are also very kind and pleasant people who are very open minded.

The reason that Islam prohibits any depiction of The Prophet Muhammad is because they don't want Muslims worshipping him over Jesus (Isa) or God (Allah). They are also apprehensive about any secular depiction of Jesus or God because Arabia has a long and sordid history of idolatry. (One of the reasons Islam became so popular so quickly... all the Christians and Jews in Arabia were worshipping idols.) People forget the meaning behind the depiction, and start worshipping the sculpture instead.

The Sanhedrin hates Christ and wants His followers to kill one another. It is as simple as that. If you choose to comply, and hate your neighbor, then you have betrayed the teachings of Jesus.
