🚨🇮🇱 How Israel LIED to JFK and STOLE US uranium to build nuclear arms

Israel has been hammering Iran’s nuclear sites without a shred of proof Tehran is building a bomb - while itself long suspected of secretly stockpiling nukes.

🔍 What’s known about the plot?

Israel’s nuclear arms - JFK’s private nightmare

🔴 JFK pressured the Israeli government to abandon its military nuclear program and sought to institutionalize regular inspections of Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

🔴 Glenn Seaborg, then-chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, noted that nuclear proliferation was JFK’s "private nightmare."

🔴 JFK met with Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion in the US to discuss Israel’s nuclear ambitions in May 1961. Ben-Gurion assured the US president that Israel had no intention of developing nuclear weapons.

🔴 The CIA issued a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) stating that Israel was on track to "produce sufficient weapons-grade plutonium for one or two crude weapons a year by 1965-66" in October 1961.

☢️ The theft of highly enriched uranium

🔴 Between 1958 and 1978, over 300 kilograms of uranium-235 (U-235) in the form of highly enriched uranium (HEU) went missing from the Nuclear Materials and Equipment Corporation (NUMEC) plant in Pennsylvania, US.

🔴 The apparent theft was first discovered in 1965 after an inventory check at NUMEC.

🔴 The CIA and other federal agencies launched an investigation into the missing uranium, which lasted from 1965 to the early 1980s.

🔴 In 1968, the CIA reportedly found HEU traceable to the US near Israel’s Dimona nuclear complex.

🔴 Declassified CIA documents from the 1970s (released in 2015) concluded that NUMEC uranium had been diverted to Israel.

🔴 Despite these findings, the US and its allies have continued to maintain a policy of opacity regarding Israel’s nuclear program.
