The reward isn't crazy high but that's what makes it sustainable, and if you're planning to hold a token for a long-time then the rewards add up and that can be worth it.

Here are three methods to stake from the simplest, to the most compelx:

1 Exchanges (Coinbase, Binance and Kraken) [Easy] This is the simplest way to stake because all you need to do is hold your tokens on the exchange and turn staking on. The exchanges will then take your tokens, police the network with them and they'll take a share of the reward. Anytime you want to withdraw, sell or do anything with those tokens you'll have to unstake them and there may be a lock-up period ranging from a few hours to a few days.

2. Decentralized Finance (DeFi) [Intermediate] In DeFi there are products called "liquid staking" services and they pool your tokens with those of other people and a select number of "policemen" do all the work in exchange for a cut from the rewards.
The difference here is that you stay "liquid" meaning you can sell your tokens anytime. For Ethereum, the biggest one is called "Lido.fi", for Solana it's
"Jito.network" and for TON it's "Tonstakers.com".

3. Self Staking [Advanced]
This method allows you to keep all of the rewards by doing your own policing work but it's complex. You'll need to become a validator, you can check each token's official website to learn more about that. We won't get into the details because we doubt anyone here will be interested in doing it (we don't do it ourselves to be completely frank).
Note that staking has legal complications in some countries, so check your country's laws before trying.
And keep in mind that nothing comes without some degree of risk.
