十一月的 Security Patch 标志着 Android 9 自八月发布起的第三次更新，也是 Pixel 3 / 3 XL 自发售的第一次更新。
此次更新的 11 月 1 日版修复了 17 个问题，而 11 月 5 日版本修复了 19 个。
对于 Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P 及 Pixel C 来说，这将是最后一次安全更新。在去年九月，这些设备的 Android 版本更新停止于 8.1 Oreo，且保证的电话/网上支持也将于本月末结束。
此次更新也包含了 PiP 模式的性能增强，改进了通知的稳定性，及针对 Pixel 3 / 3 XL 的 Strongbox 对称加密密钥生成改进。
（然而 PiP 的改进设备列表中并不包含一代 Pixel/Pixel XL。事实上，目前一代 Pixel/Pixel XL 的十一月 Security Patch 似乎并未放出）
