India’s Godavari River BURSTS - Leaving behind Water World as DAMS Reach Limit
Monsoon season and rising water levels in the Godavari River have seen river banks breached in Maharashtra's Nashik district, almost submerging its iconic idol of Lord Hanuman.
The river has suffered catastrophic floods regularly, with around 200 villages washed out last year and 17,000 people evacuated the year before.

Chinese authorities have delegated the task of maintaining law and order in the event of Evergrande’s demise, and to help offset the disastrous ripple effect in the job market expected.
Although on Wednesday a deal was agreed over a domestic bond repayment, on Thursday a major offshore repayment deadline is due - and markets are bracing for bad news.
