A BP chief spoke to the Cabinet Office last Thursday to make sure the govt understood the “urgency of the situation” which she branded “bad, very bad.”

The UK energy crisis won’t be limited to petrol it seems. Global banking firm Citigroup Inc. more than doubled its Asian and European natural gas forecasts for the next quarter, believing that prices will skyrocket to as high as $100 per million British thermal units due to strong demand and a lack of supply.
