Extraordinary footage shows Australian police handcuffing a man and restraining him on the pavement for a perceived defiance of strict mask and distance regulations.

His companion filming the arrest explains he had been eating lunch and smoking - hence not wearing a mask, which he apparently had in his pocket anyway - and only lived 500m away.
