Skoda Auto to HALT production over global chip supply crisis (Report)
Volkswagen’s Skoda Auto has stripped production to the bare bones as it leaves only one of its three Czech Republic-based production lines running for the next two weeks, and will focus on completing 10k unfinished cars. (Reuters)
The Czech carmaker industry - which employs 250k people, and accounts for a quarter of the country’s industrial output - claims it will deliver 250k fewer cars this year, setting it back over $9bn.
