BP paid ex-MI6 spies to snoop on "peaceful" green activist (report)
The oil & gas giant allegedly hired former MI6 agents to identify, "politically based threats to businesses" and dig up dirt on a "peaceful" climate activist. (Joint investigation by The Sunday Times and OpenDemocracy)
The file collected pictures in public, physical appearance changes and details and the online activity of Chris Garrard, who had highlighted BP's fossil fuel investment and campaigned against their sponsorship of the British Museum.
Reportedly, none of the information suggested involvement in protests or direct action against the company.

Juts months after escaping bankruptcy, car rental service Hertz has penned a mammoth 100k-car deal with Tesla.
Tesla has bumped 4.3% in pre-market trading value, with the first batch of Tesla Model 3 sedans available through the service in the next few weeks - while Hertz allegedly plan to convert almost all of its 500k-vehicle fleet.

Frontier Battle: Illegal migrants wound two Polish soldiers attempting border crossing from Belarus
Video has emerged appearing to show desperate groups of refugees throwing stones and branches at Polish border guards over the weekend, wounding two, according to Polish authorities.
Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk can no longer restrain the flow of illegal migrants to the EU's border, because there are no finances or forces due to Western sanctions.
In response the Polish authorities involved the army and police, and declared a state of emergency on the territories bordering Belarus.
