"Nor'easter" Batters US East Coast as NY & NJ Declare States of Emergency
Several flash flood warnings have been issued in the states as torrential rain pounded the region, with some roads already flooded in parts of New York ahead of the expected nor’easter - a storm along the East Coast with winds typically coming from the northeast.
Governors Kathy Hochul (NY) and Phil Murphy (NJ) declared states of emergency to prepare for the storm which is expected to bring a total of six inches of rain, the National Weather Service said.
