France has successfully launched a state-of-the-art satellite into orbit, designed to allow all of France's armed forces across the globe to communicate swiftly and securely.

The combination of parts shortages, higher energy and material costs as well as a weaker yen is making the job harder for the BOJ.

At one point recently, about 200,000 containers were stranded aboard anchored vessels outside the Port of Los Angeles. Experts expect the crunch to last for months.
