Scottish government under fire for asking kids about ‘anal sex’
Scotland’s privacy regulators are investigating a government census asking children as young as 14 a range of intimate questions about their sex lives.
Drafted by the government, the controversial ‘Health and Wellbeing Census’ has already been handed out to secondary school students in 11 of Scotland’s 32 local authorities, The Herald reported on Saturday.
A total of 14 have declined to distribute it, while others want changes to a controversial section on sexual health.
This section asks children whether they have had “sexual experiences,” including “oral sex” or “vaginal or anal sex.” Other questions ask how many sexual partners the children have had in the past year, and a full list of questions has not been made available to parents.

Grab popcorn & watch US dollar collapse – Max Keiser
Washington is struggling to figure out how to regulate the digital asset market. Some in Congress say that banning crypto could help preserve the US dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency. RT’s Max Keiser disagrees.
“The US dollar has been losing world reserve status for decades. With or without bitcoin, the dollar is toast,” the host of RT’s Keiser Report and prominent crypto advocate says.

New vaccine kills ‘zombie’ cells that cause aging – study
Japanese scientists have developed a vaccine to target so-called zombie cells that pile up over time and damage healthy cells. These cells are thought to be responsible for a range of age-related ailments, such as heart disease.
The research, published on Friday in the online version of the Nature Aging journal, found a reduction in the number of zombie cells – clinically known as senescent cells – in mice that were administered the vaccine. The effect was also seen in areas of the bodies that were affected by stiffening of arteries.

СEO forced to tap OWN SHARE in Evergrande to pay debts
China Evergrande Group founder and chairman Hui Ka Yan has sold more of his own shares in the company in an attempt to keep the defaulted property developer afloat.
Once China’s second-richest person, Hui sold 277.8 million shares, lowering his stake in the company to 59.78% from 61.88%, according to Friday’s filings to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
The transaction value was not disclosed, but given the average price at which the shares traded this week, it was likely around $64 million.

NHS Website Crashes AGAIN as UK Announces First Omicron DEATH
The NHS booster booking website crashed for the second time just hours after Boris Johnson announced plans to jab all UK adults with boosters by New Year – the PM also confirming the first death due to the Omicron strain during a visit to a vaccination clinic in west London Monday morning.
Although the govt had apparently intended for most of the nearly 1mn-a-day boosters to be covered by walk-in appointments, the website queue to book appointments reached over 10k people.
The Omicron variant now reportedly makes up 40% of all Covid infections in London.

Turkish Lira Plunges to ALL-TIME Low Ahead of Anticipated Interest Rate Cut
Turkey’s battered currency fell to a new low Monday, past 14 to the US dollar, prior to what investors expect to be rate cuts from the central bank despite soaring inflation.
The lira was trading at a record low of 14.99 to the dollar Monday – the first time the currency has surpassed 14 to the greenback. (Reuters)
Turkey’s central bank subsequently announced it would intervene directly in the foreign exchange market Monday, selling dollars to prop up the lira - the regulator has cut the key interest rate by 400 basis points since September this year.
