UK Supreme Court rules against gender-neutral passports
The UK Supreme Court has ruled passport applicants will not be allowed to choose a gender-neutral designation as it is “a biographical detail”.
The panel of judges ruled that the gender of passport applicants is “a biographical detail”, despite activist Christie Elan-Cane arguing it breaches human rights by not offering applicants a non-binary option.
Supreme Court President Robert Reed explained it is “the gender recognized for legal purposes and recorded in those documents which is relevant”, adding no UK law allows a non-gendered category anyway.

Teachers Scramble for Dollar Bills in 'Humiliating' Spectacle - to pay for classroom supplies
A cold-snap in funding for educating young Americans in South Dakota has seen 10 teachers taking part in a "Dash for Cash."
Video shows them stuffing one-dollar bills into their clothes, helmets and bags at a Sioux Falls Stampede junior ice hockey game. The five-minute event has been called out as 'dystopian'.
$5,000 was donated by CU Mortgage Direct, a local company which claimed, "We thought it was an awesome group thing to do for the teachers," the marketing director told a local paper.
One teacher who snaffled $592 said it would go to covering extra costs for things like Christmas decorations in the classroom.
Perhaps some REAL charity next?
