US Navy vessels fired on swarming mystery drones that harassed them for weeks (reports)

United States Navy vessels were forced to fire on unidentified drones off the coast of Southern California after they were swarmed by mystery UAVs in 2019, documents obtained by The Drive revealed.

Throughout July 2019, the US Navy was reportedly plagued by mystery drone swarms that harassed vessels in the Channel Islands archipelago near California, according to ship log documents released through a Freedom of Information request.

The USS Russell, Rafael Peralta, John Finn and Kidd all reported UAV activity or coming into contact with drones during operations around the same time.
