Climate of fear & 'injuries' plague Amazon warehouse employees

The “excessively rapid work pace” in the company’s warehouses, surveillance and disciplinary procedures have created a dangerous working environment, staff allege.

“I have not had a single day that I haven’t been an absolute sobbing mess because of the stress Amazon continues to put me through,” one former worker fighting for compensation and paid medical leave for an injured knee told The Guardian.

A recently published report found Amazon’s injury rates were 80% higher than the industry average for serious injuries in 2020.

❗️Major explosion reported at CSX facility in Baltimore

Police and firefighters responded to an explosion at the CSX Coal Plant in South Baltimore Thursday morning. (Baltimore Sun)

Residents across the city reported on Twitter the explosion could be felt miles away, which was a result of transporting coal.

A fire department spokesperson said no injuries occurred and thankfully no contractors were in the building at the time of the explosion
