Gas prices may soar higher as crude oil approaches $100 per barrel

Analysts are predicting that lack of production capacity, demand outstripping supply and limited investment in the oil sector could see crude prices hit $100 per barrel by years end. (Reuters)

Brent prices traded above $84 Wednesday, hitting two-month highs as experts say costs may increase due to government reluctance in restoring Covid restrictions.

"We don’t want to see $100 a barrel. The world is not ready for that," the minister for oil in resource-rich Oman told Bloomberg Tuesday.
