❗️SCOTUS blocks Biden’s Covid vaccine mandate for large US businesses
The Supreme Court voted to strike down the Biden administration’s sweeping vaccine-or-test requirements for businesses with over 100 employees Thursday. (CNBC)
However, SCOTUS allowed the mandates to go ahead in medical facilities which receive funding from Medicare or Medicaid.
The court voted 6-3 against the vaccine mandates for private businesses expressing skepticism about the federal government’s planned moves.

Biden said he was “disappointed” that the Supreme Court ruled against his mandate today which will “block common-sense lifesaving requirements for employees at large businesses.”
Trump however, lauded SCOTUS’ decision saying, “the Supreme Court has spoken, confirming what we all knew: Biden's disastrous mandates are unconstitutional. Biden promised to shut down the virus, not the economy but he has failed miserably on both.”
Despite the SC’s decision, WH spokesperson Jen Psaki said the Biden administration will continue to pressure employers to institute their own, private mandates.

Blackstone Incorporated, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, joins a number of Wall Street firms which are pressuring employees to get jabs and take more tests. (Bloomberg)
All staff working must get boosters “as soon as practically possible,” a company spokesperson said Wednesday adding all office workers need to be tested on-site three times per week.
This week JPMorgan Chase & Co CEO Jamie Simon warned staff holding out on getting the vaccine in NYC, won’t be able to work from the office and the company won’t pay them “not to work in the office.”

Canada Caves to Anti-Mandate Truckers
Canada is backtracking on its rule requiring all truckers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, following a pressure campaign from the industry and the opposition party.
Unvaccinated Canadian truck drivers arriving at the border from the US will be exempt from pre-arrival, arrival and post-arrival testing and quarantine requirements, according the Canada Border Services Agency.
However, American drivers will still need to be vaccinated or face being turned back.
