Thousands hospitalised across Japan amid record-breaking heatwave
Thousands of people across Japan have been hospitalised due to a historic heatwave hitting the region.
More than 4,500 people were sent to hospitals with heatstroke last week, authorities say.
Some 37 million people living in and around Tokyo were called to save electricity, as temperatures in some parts of the country exceeded 40 degrees Celcius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
