The biggest beneficiary of the pipeline attack is not the US and not Russia.
The beneficiary is the sleeping dragon with the advanced submarine systems capable of avoiding detection.
Europe gets 40% of its gas from Russia and even though you would think this move benefits the US. Short and long term it causes futher issues.
Europe voted *not* to cap prices on Russian gas, which presented an issue for the US. But the destructions of the pipeline itself doesnt solve their problem either as these lines were already largely shut down. Russian gas will still be moving through Europe uncapped.
The winner, is still the dragon sitting in the shadows.
The truest beneficiary, is the country not actively expending its military equipment or resources, but instead is carefully pitting two animals against each other.
