Ancient King Khufu's boat moved to Grand Egyptian Museum - WATCH!
Egypt’s ancient King Khufu's boat, also known as the 'Boat of Sun,' was moved on Saturday to its new location at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, set to open this year near the pyramids.
The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities said in a statement released on Saturday that it has moved the intact boat, which dates back 4,600 years ago.
In ancient Egypt, the solar boats were buried in pits next to the royal burial chambers, in the belief that they will transport them to the afterlife.
