Day 10 of 40:
Heavenly Father,
Through Jesus Christ we praise You for providing all of creation with law and order. You purposefully set examples in everything You formed so we would have Your divine proof. We ask Your forgiveness for not following those examples well, and for easily being led astray.
We are thankful for Your Holy Spirit enabling us to identify the truth in everything we study. We ask that You include us in the blessings of freedom and of life achieved by the death and resurrection of Your Son.
We pray the fear of You, Father, sweeps across this land, and a deep sense of repentance turns our nation towards You. We ask for Your truth to be revealed for all to see. By Your mercy and Your grace, allow us to know You instead of the counterfeit so abundant across this land.
We rejoice in Your liberty and praise Your Holy Name!

Scholz said, “Nine million citizens live and work in our country without having German citizenship.” Subsequently, almost all media have adopted this claim. But in fact, according to the Federal Statistical Office, only 4.5 million foreign nationals living in Germany are employed, and are thus subject to social insurance contributions. This is only half as many as the German chancellor claimed.
The figure is significant because Scholz linked it to his main argument that “those who live and work here permanently should also be able to vote and be elected.
