A Pennsylvania state judge ruled Monday that an election worker cannot sue former President Trump over statements he made sowing doubt in the 2020 election results while in office, finding the statements are protected by presidential immunity.
Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Erdos said Trump’ had immunity’s immunity covered a tweet he issued and comments he made remotely from the White House during a Pennsylvania state Senate committee hearing in November 2020. The statements, made without evidence, claimed fraud in Pennsylvania’s election tabulations.

An illegal medical lab in California, housing nearly 1,000 genetically modified mice, has caused concern among officials, Fox59 reported.
The investigation led the authorities to a warehouse containing bioengineered mice and infectious agents. The authorities found nearly 30 refrigerators and freezers, along with incubators and other medical supplies.

“This is an unusual situation. I’ve been in government for 25 years. I’ve never seen anything like this,” Reedley City Manager Nicole Zieba said, reported local news outlet KRON4.

The tests detected at least 20 potentially infectious agents, which included dangerous pathogens such as coronavirus, HIV, hepatitis, and herpes. A Los Angeles County community has been placed under quarantine due to the detection of the Tau fruit fly in the unincorporated area of Stevenson Ranch.
The California Department of Food and Agriculture said last week that more than 20 of the flies were found near the city of Santa Clarita.
The quarantine area measures nearly 80 miles, with the border extending to Castaic Junction, Oat Mountain, Del Valle and Honby Avenue.
