🔴 The proposals for the purchase of new frigates by the Greek Navy are already being evaluated, with the Spanish proposal ruled out due to their delivery time, cost and overall proximity with Turkey

🔸 In the official announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the list of states is listed in alphabetical order. France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, the Netherlands are getting the "green light" while Spain is absent despite the fact that the ship he proposed, the F-110 frigate, appeared because of its configuration as one of the strongest candidates. However, the high cost, the delivery time and the "flirtation" of the Spaniards with Turkey, seem to have played a decisive role in the "red card" issued by the Navy

🔸 Other data indicates that the Dutch SIGMA frigates are leading due to their cost and delivery time but also that the other candidates are still able to surpass it due to other capabilities

🔸 "We (Turkey) will make another move in the Mediterranean. Our ship Yavuz is located in the port of Tasuzhou. Continues maintenance preparations for its next mission. With God's help, it will soon return to its field of action and start drilling"

/GBG/
🟢 The ship will most likely resume its drilling operation inside Cypriot EEZ while this also signals that Turkey might once again resume their usual NAVTEX warning for seismic research (looking for oil and gas) inside Greek EEZ

🔴 Spanish Frigate proposal and one out of two German Frigate proposals have already been rejected by the Greek Navy that for now have been focusing on cost and delivery time and in the Spanish proposal's case, the armament was developed jointly with Turkey

🔸 The decision to "cut" the Spanish proposal for the F-110 frigate and one of the two German proposals concerning the A-300 frigate was the result of a thorough evaluation. This is also due to the fact that this evaluation looks for incomplete proposals with several gaps, concerns "paper ships" and not tested ships or ships that are already under construction while their cost seems to exceed the financial possibilities and the budget

🔸 In the case of the Spaniards, in fact, it seems that the armaments relations that have developed with Turkey in recent years and have culminated in the construction of the Anadolu helicopter

The Rotunda of St. George in Thessaloniki.

The Rotunda, a symbol of Thessaloniki, was built in the first years of Roman tetrarchy, when Caesar Galerius (250-311 AD) was based in Thessaloniki. It was part of the imperial complex, probably in one theory built as Galerius’ mausoleum, but was never used since his mausoleum was found in Romuliana, in Serbia. Not long after its construction, during the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Theodosios the Great (379-395 AD), the Rotunda was converted into a Christian church and a sanctuary was added on its eastern side. Between 1524 and 1591, the structure became Thessaloniki's cathedral and then, when the city fell to the Ottoman Turks, it was converted into a mosque until 1912, when it was dedicated to Saint George. @GreekLeague

The building is round with a dome approximately 30 m high and 25 m in diameter. Its walls are more than 6 m thick and its architectural structure is similar to the Pantheon in Roma.

The Rotunda is a unique structure, enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage List, so the lighting system and luminaires adopted have been carefully chosen to ensure this splendid monument is treated with respect and properly preserved. @GreekLeague
