🐈🐾🐈 ЙОШКИН КОТ 🐱

On a bench ,in the center of YOSHKAR-OLA, the capital of the Mari El Republic, sits a bronze sculpture of a smug-faced cat with a newspaper spread under his butt.
🐾This is the Yoshkin Cat, a visual representation of a Russian expletive🐾

😸Did you know this? 👇
In Russian, yoshkin-kot (literally “Yoshkin cat”) is a humorous phrase uttered in surprise or mild shock, perhaps similar to the “holy cow” in English.
🐾🐈 One theory suggests that it may refer to Bayun, a magical cat in Russian fairytales, who often assists the witch Baba Yaga.
However, it is not known what yoshkin (or sometimes ezhkin) really means anymore—perhaps a corruption of some earlier word.
🐾 BUT one thing is clear that it has nothing to do with Yoshkar-Ola, despite the similarity of the sounds 🤷‍♀🤷‍♂

I bought the one as a souvenir to keep it home😻

😍ONE OF THESE DAYS I'll come back to see the most elegant and beautiful mosques 🌹
Brief history :
Built in 2005 by Turks ,financed by Russia ,Saudi Arabia and Iran , it has become a global Muslim project!
Adorned by the calligraphy of the Iraqi makes it a unique object of Art!

I took two pictures, in the evening and at day time to compare the two images. I for one was awestruck by the inside and outside of the mosque!

ONE OF THESE DAYS ( which means " когда-нибудь в будущем " ) Kul Sharif mosque 🕌 will be caught by my photo camera again ....

💡Preparing for the BOOK CLUB SESSION 4 , I recalled some films 🎥 based on STEPHEN KING'S novels and short stories .

The list is impressively long!
Have you ever watched any ? 🤔

Interestingly enough,I've seen very few ones as horror and thrillers are not my cup of tea at all but I remembered " The green mile " ( 1999) ... It made me think 🤔 Was it a true story??🤔

"The Green Mile" is partially based on a true story.
Well, precisely speaking, the 1999 movie is based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name that was published in 1996. When it comes to the inspiration of the book, it is believed that King based his novel on a 14-year-old boy named George Stinney Jr., the youngest ever to be sentenced to death in the electric chair in the 20th century in America.

The film is emotionally charged,heart-wrenching at times. Tom Hanks is incomparable there 🔥 one of my favorite actors and he still is !

🤩" PEOPLE- PLEASER " has landed on the Italian Lexical ground too , which hardly ever surprises me 🤓

Italian is full of English words.
If you know English well, you are able to understand a half of the Italian article( or a borderline half 😀)

E.g. Potresti essere un people pleaser. Una persona che desidera essere apprezzata dagli altri ad ogni costo, così tanto da arrivare a perdere sé stessa pur di andare incontro ai desideri di chi ha intorno.
🧐desiderare- to desire
🧐arrivare - to arrive
🧐apprezzare - to appreciate
🧐una persona - a person
🧐ad ogni costo - at all costs
🧐desideri - desires,wishes

Магия!И спасибо ЛАТИНСКОМУ языку ☀️Статья прекрасна и " people- pleaser " ( человек,который угождает всем в ущерб себе самому) описывается очень занимательно.
А причём тут ЗОНТ ???😜

An UMBRELLA TERM is a phrase that encompasses a wide range of concepts, often with varying degrees of similarity or relevance. It's like a big, juicy catch-all for anything and everything  that fits under its broad and all-encompassing definition.

Soooo, guys, you can talk using UMBRELLA TERMS about anything if you don't want to get bogged down in details or specifics.

😂 I'm pretty sure 'conspiracy theorist' is just an Umbrella Term for people who don't understand science.
😂 "I'm sorry, I can't provide an Umbrella Term for your stupidity."

💃🤔 'SUPREMATIC DRESS’( супрематическое платье) was created in 1923 by Kazimir Malevich in Suprematism style.

Yesterday I eagerly went to the lecture called " МОДА И РУССКИЙ АВАНГАРД" 🔥🔥🔥

2 hours flew like 5 minutes and I finally had learned what AVANT-GARD is !!

The word captivated me and here is where it came from :

📌avant-garde (n.)
also avant garde, avantgarde; French, literally "advance guard" (see avant + guard (n.)). Used in English 15c.-18c. in a literal, military sense; borrowed again 1910 as an artistic term for "pioneers or innovators of a particular period." Also used around the same time in a political sense in communist and anarchist publications. As an adjective, by 1925.

It is not as though I had never heard the word before and had been living in oblivion 😂but it shines new colors to me now and NO I'm definitely NOT going to wear " супрематическое платье" in the foreseeable future 😂🙈

WISHY WASHY

I spotted the word yesterday while listening ,either it was Luke’s podcast or my favorite psychological videos I can't remember but it was a new word for me .
Little did I know about the character MRS WISHY WASHY 😂 from children's books either 😁

💡MrsWishy-Washy is a popular children's book character created by New Zealand author Joy Cowley, and illustrated by Elizabeth Ann Fuller. Since its debut in 1980, the series has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide.
The MrsWishy-Washy character has been featured in 20 short stories for early readers over the past 30 years.

This is the story about WISHY WASHY 😁 It ignited my curiosity and now we know this ))
