I spotted the word yesterday while listening ,either it was Luke’s podcast or my favorite psychological videos I can't remember but it was a new word for me .
Little did I know about the character MRS WISHY WASHY 😂 from children's books either 😁

💡✍Mrs. Wishy-Washy is a popular children's book character created by New Zealand author Joy Cowley, and illustrated by Elizabeth Ann Fuller. Since its debut in 1980, the series has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide.
The Mrs. Wishy-Washy character has been featured in 20 short stories for early readers over the past 30 years.

This is the story about WISHY WASHY 😁 It ignited my curiosity and now we know this ))

📌Interesting facts:

Jack London’s 1909 “A Piece of Steak” is a naturalist short story first published in The Saturday Evening Post.
It took him between two and four weeks to write, and he was paid a very handsome (for the era) $500 for it. While London is best known for his novels about the Alaskan wilderness, including The Call of the Wild and White Fang, he was also interested in workers’ rights and advocated for socialism and unions.
“A Piece of Steak” is one of his best-known short stories and, like many London stories of the era, explores social Darwinist themes.

✍WALK ON EGG SHELLS ✍

To act with great care and consideration so as not to upset someone.
E.g. The littlest thing tends to anger my mother, so I feel like I have to walk on eggshells whenever I'm at her house.

📌 The expression itself reminds me about a PEOPLE PLEASER .
I bumped into " wall on egg shells" ( быть деликатным, подобрать слова,чтобы не дай Бог не обидеть!) in the video ,which is a very insightful one for anyone who is in friendships.

It resonates with my personal life experience. I had 3 so called " best of the best friends" and our friendships were 10- 12 years old so far, but it is only now when I realized my being illusioned and naive, close to " stupid" ))
I accepted this reality. It was hard,painful,it hurt. WALKING ON EGG SHELLS was always a part of those friendships from my end,not from theirs .

🧚‍♀Now I feel FREE ,more mature,more in sync with myself than ever before🧚‍♀

😃My first volunteering experience at the airport Pulkovo 🛫 🛬

I realized that volunteering gives a lot of mental benefits!

💡WHAT PSYCHOLOGY SAYS ABOUT IT :

😇 Most INTROVERTED cultures..... my country ,RUSSIA 🇷🇺 is in the list !! 😇

Having said this, Synthia ( from New Zealand) was talking about her observations, about how silence is understood in different countries ... Interesting 😀

😇 More information:

The most introverted country is also Ireland, again don't think that being introverted means being unkind or cold. Irish eyes are smiling, and this country loves to have visitors and guests, but other than that,one might be quick to learn just how deep Irish blood runs.
Russia
Not only does Russia have the geography for being an introverted country, but they also bank on it, literally. Russia is home to many B&B-style inns and destinations, made for those who want to get away from, well - everyone.
Finland
Another location that is geographically inclined toward being more introverted is Finland. As the northernmost,Finland is an ideal home for those who love nature, quiet, and space - people like introverts.

I've never met the word before in English but I know it in Russian 😇

✍ДИАТРИБА - Жанр античной литературы, ораторская речь, произнесённая с критикой кого-то или чего-то, часто с использованием юмора, сарказма и апелляции к эмоциям.

The English term came from Greek "diatribē," which means "to wear away" or "to rub off." This sense of wearing away or grinding down is reflected in the way that diatribes can be relentless and unyielding in their attack on their target.

In Russian I assume we should interpret it as " обличительная речь,тирада"
✍it is lengthy
✍focus on criticism and negativity
✍with exhaustive details
✍the tone is abrasive and unpleasant
✍galvanizes support for a particular cause or point of view

E.g. I can't believe he went on a DIATRIBE about his ex for an hour."😂
