📖I've started doing it at last!!! Reading in Italian in original 📖

I immersed myself in my second beloved language reading consciously. My experience might encourage one of YOU to follow me and benefit from summer ☀️

MY REGULAR DAILY CHALLENGE:
📌 read 2- 3 chapters EVERY DAY ( 5- 10 pages)
📌bother about new words)))
📌read ALOUD some pages to practise pronunciation
📌reread some paragraphs if misunderstood the sense

I fully realize that the book is of a much higher level than my actual one 😅 (Advanced - the book's, not mine))) but I noticed 4 things :

🎊the more I read,the more I understand
🎊the more I read,the bigger pleasure I'm getting
🎊I'm not irritated by something I dont know or understand
🎊my Italian brain is ALIVE !!!

Итог: начала со скрипом,было откровенно ЛЕНЬ... в такую- то жару⏳еле-еле шла по книге. После 9 главы дело пошло 🔥 Хотите читать вместе,начинайте любую книгу на иностранных языках ! Я с вами , поддерживаю и всегда рядом ☀️📚

🌤 My reading 📚 in Italian is going on and on ! 100 pages and 18 chapters so far ,in the depth of which I found "LA PECORA" (овечка) and reasonably, the idiom " BLACK SHEEP " came to mind⚡️

Etymology is much more intriguing! Look 👁

The wool of a sheep can be dyed different colours. Black sheep have a recessive gene that makes their wool black in colour. This means that it can not be dyed a different colour and makes it less valuable than white wool.
👁In the 16th century sheep with black wool was seen as carrying the mark of the devil.

The phrase has been used, in the same context as we use it today, since the 18th century.

We speak figuratively of the one black sheep that is the cause of sorrow in a family; but in its reality it is regarded by the Sussex shepherd as an omen of good luck to his flock.

Почему я начала свой пост с китайской пословицы,друзья?

🌹Потому что наши встречи " учитель- ученики "за пределами виртуального класса - это про Involve me. (встроенно в наш курс подготовки к САЕ 😁 )

I for one love PARKS ❤️ Either a small local park ,or a vast urban one gives me a warm feeling and I'm dzen.

Bumped into this idiomatic expression, I thought how many people have been on a HAMSTER WHEEL for months and even years on end ! I do sometimes as I'm a living human being with my ups and downs ....

Our third writer is ARCHIBALD JOSEPH CRONIN (1896-1981)❤️👍

To say that I'm in love with his writing style and talent is to say nothing!!! ❤️A JEWEL OF LITERATURE!

✍Scottish novelist, an accomplished storyteller, who practised as a doctor over a decade before devoting himself entirely to writing.
✍Cronin gained his fame initially with Hatter's Castle (1931)Замок Броуди, the story of the megalomanic James Brodie, a Scottish hatmaker and his foolish dreams of social acceptance. 
✍The Citadel (1937), a progressive novel published by Gollancz, had the biggest sales of any book of the 1930s.
✍ Cronin produced several bestsellers drawing from his experiences as a doctor – his most famous character was Dr Finlay Hyslop.
✍Some of his works had religious themes, like The Keys of the Kingdom (1942), which was made into a film
✍Cronin continued to write until he was in his eightieth year. 🔥25 novels, novellas,periodical publications

✔️Quizlet -в планах НЕ значится! Если для вас очень важно наличие quizlet, то наши чтения вам не подходят.
✔️НО мы обязательно обсудим красивую лексику с т.з. СТИЛЯ писателя
