Yesterday's sophisticating discussion of cinematography with one of my dear friends made me recollect the film " Eyes Wide Shut "(1999) by Stanley Kubrik
I watched it many years ago and it seems it's high time I rewatched it with " new eyes wide open " 😁

My own relationship with literature and English is also " Stylistic" and today I want to introduce you to APOSIOPESIS
🤫Break-in-the narrative / Derived from a Greek word and means " becoming silent"
🤫It is a rhetorical device in which the speaker or writer breaks off abruptly
🤫The reader can determine his own meaning
🤫They are emotional pauses,or moments of sudden silence
🫢🫢The example from Mark Twain :
" She looked perplexed for a moment ,and then said,not fiercely, but still loud enough for the furniture to hear :
" Well,I lay if I GET HOLD OF YOU I'LL......"
She didn't finish,for by this time she was bending down and punching under the bed with broom. She resurrected NOTHING BUT THE CAT ....." 🐈
💡There must be a NEW rubric here in my TG channel ..... Stylistical and Stylish 😃
