Today the city was placed under an overwhelming security lockdown.

Multiple streets including Mostafa Khomeini Street were flooded with heavily armed security forces. Military vehicles, machine guns, checkpoints and patrol units were deployed across large parts of the city, creating an atmosphere resembling a military occupation.

Residents describe constant intimidation and heightened tension, particularly around key gathering areas where protests have previously taken place.

Witnesses report that as far as the eye could see, the security presence dominated public spaces, with civilians moving under surveillance and pressure.

This is the reality of daily life for many in Zahedan, a city placed under siege simply for raising its voice.
