Suddenly gout is on the rise.
The number of cases has risen by 20 per cent in three years, with 234,000 patients admitted to hospital with gout in 2021-22, according to figures released last month by the NHS.

Rotherham police officer who was arrested on suspicion of historic child sex offences has been bailed.
The 49-year-old constable was arrested on September 14th on suspicion of indecent assault, sexual assault and sexual activity with a child.
These offences allegedly took place between 2001 and 2005, and are unrelated to the officer’s workplace.

WEST Yorkshire Police has revealed the names of five more men charged with historic sexual abuse in Bradford.
