The charity watchdog has opened a probe into a mosque that was criticised by the Manchester Arena bomb inquiry.
The chairman of the inquiry, Sir John Saunders, said the mosque had suffered from "weak leadership".
Last week, after his final report into the bombing was published, Sir John said: "The Charity Commission has already prescribed a programme that the Didsbury Mosque must put in place.
"I hope that they will read my report and consider whether anything more needs to be done."
Didsbury Mosque declined to comment and said it would issue a public statement at a later date.

The UK's school watchdog has no power to regulate 'age-inappropriate' sex education like 'gender unicorns' and 'anal sex', the head of Ofsted has warned.

Ofsted chief inspector Amanda Spielman said the regulator is currently powerless to sanction schools teaching inappropriate material to children as young as 12.

Mrs Spielman added that the current Relationships and Sex Education guidance issued by the Government places no limit on what can be taught.

Gran bleeds to death after sex assault in NHS hospital bed as police hunt attacker.
Valerie Kneale's family thought she had died from a stroke, but a routine post-mortem examination revealed the horrifying truth that she had been violently sexually assaulted.

The attack was so bad she died from her injuries and the pathologist performing the post-mortem immediately raised the alarm with police.

Officers launched a murder inquiry and are concerned the attacker is still on the loose, and believe he has likely carried out attacks before and may well strike again.

The Charity Commission has opened an investigation into the mosque at the centre of the row over a 14 year-old autistic schoolboy who brought a copy of the Quran into school.
This follows a complaint the Free Speech Union sent to the Charity Commission on Thursday asking it to investigate the mosque which was the setting for what amounted to a show trial of the boy’s mother a couple of weeks ago.
