Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The clock is ticking down on this year, and as the last moments slip away, let’s look back and say it plainly: 2024, you were one hell of a ride. A rollercoaster, a tempest, a journey into the unknown – whatever image comes to mind, it’s clear this year tested us, pushed us, and in the process, made us stronger. We faced challenges we never anticipated, navigated complexities that seemed insurmountable, and maybe even stumbled along the way.
But here’s the empowering truth: we’re here. We made it. We learned. We grew. We discovered depths of resilience we didn’t know we possessed. The trials, the setbacks, the moments of doubt – they forged a strength and wisdom that we’ll carry into the future. We’ve proven that we can adapt, overcome, and rise to meet any storm.
So, as we stand at the threshold of a new year, let's embrace the lessons learned, the victories achieved, and the scars that tell the story of our battles. Let’s carry forward the resilience we cultivated, the passion we reignited, and the wisdom we gained. Let’s meet the future with courage, determination, and an unshakeable belief in our own potential. Because, after the ride we’ve just been on, we can handle anything.
Happy New Year! Let's make the next chapter even more extraordinary⚡️⚡️

AlphaGo The Movie | Deepmind
Just rewatched it after a long time yesterday and I recommend you all to watch it. It's one of the achivments we saw in our generation.
AlphaGo combines deep learning and Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) to master Go. It uses a policy network to predict the next move and a value network to estimate the probability of winning from a board state. MCTS improves the decision-making by exploring move sequences guided by these networks. It's trained on human games and refined in self-play with reinforcement learning.

You know what's infuriating? When you're trying to explain something perfectly clearly, like you've broken it down into the simplest terms possible, and people still look at you like you're speaking Klingon. It's like, are we living on the same planet? Did you somehow miss the memo about basic logic? I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm talking to a wall, except the wall would probably understand me better.
And then, there's the internet echo chamber. It's like, everyone's just shouting the same opinions into the void, and if you happen to have a different perspective, you're immediately labeled as "wrong" or "problematic." Can we not have a nuanced conversation anymore? Can we not agree to disagree, or is everyone just required to be a carbon copy of someone else? It's exhausting.
And the small talk, oh my god, the small talk! "How's your day?" "Fine, and you?" "Good, thanks!" It's the same robotic exchange every single time, and it feels like a massive waste of brainpower. Can we just skip ahead to the interesting stuff? Like, what's your favorite conspiracy theory, or what's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Let’s talk about something real, something fun.
And don't even get me started on the pressure to always be "on." It's like, I'm not a performing monkey, I'm allowed to have an off day, you know? I'm allowed to be grumpy, tired, or just plain uninterested. Can we just normalize not having to put on a happy face all the time? It's exhausting. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to eat a whole pizza... by myself... in a dark room... and with no small talk. Yeah, that sounds perfect.

Life changes, adapting to its surroundings. It’s not a plan, but a response. Imagine moths, some light, some dark. Light moths thrive on light bark, dark moths on dark bark. It’s about fitting in, not being "best." Things change slowly over time. Populations, not individuals, evolve. New versions of genes spread in a population if they help organisms survive and reproduce. Imagine a river, carving a path, not by design, but by the flow. That is evolution. It's real, it's ongoing, and it's how we got here.
