Fun stuff #devmeetupv3

I attended #devmeetupv3 today, and despite my initial reluctance due to not being a fan of crowds, I found it to be a surprisingly valuable experience. I learned a great deal, connected with several people I already knew from @codenight, and was impressed by the generally supportive and positive atmosphere among the developers. While my natural shyness and introversion were present, the event was ultimately worthwhile⚡️🔥

I'm not that much into religion and stuff but I heard some people blabbing about microchips and AI dissonating with Bible. Here is my take:

The Bible doesn’t explicitly mention microchips (since they didn't exist at the time), but some people associate modern technology, especially things like RFID chips and AI, with biblical warnings, particularly in the Book of Revelation.

The most common argument linking microchips to the Bible comes from Revelation 13:16-17, which talks about the "mark of the beast":
"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name." (Revelation 13:16-17, NIV)

Some believe that implantable microchips (for payments, identification, or tracking) could be a fulfillment of this prophecy. They argue that such technology could be used for total economic control, preventing people from buying or selling unless they accept a digital identification system.

I don’t think microchips are the “mark of the beast” or anything biblical. They’re just technology (like phones, credit cards, or the internet). What matters is how they’re used.

People once feared barcodes, social security numbers, and even vaccines, thinking they were part of some prophecy. But life moved on, and those things became normal. The same will likely happen with microchips.

If governments or corporations misuse them for control, that’s a real problem, but it’s a political and ethical issue, not a supernatural one. Instead of fearing the tech itself, we should focus on how much power we give to those in charge of it.

The real danger isn’t a chip under the skin but a mind that blindly obeys. The “mark” isn’t physical it’s the loss of autonomy, the surrender of critical thought. If we let fear dictate our response to technology, we risk enslaving ourselves long before any microchip does.

If unfulfilled, a promise, no matter how poetically articulated, means less than sporadic acts of kindness.

Apparently, only few could understand this.
Life, in its essence, is neither a riddle to be solved nor a burden to be endured, but a blend of the absurd and the tender. To be foolish is to be free, to be kind is to be human, and to be strange is to be wholly alive. It is not the grandeur of reason but the quiet, ridiculous laughter in the face of suffering that redeems the soul.
Man wastes his years chasing rules, fearing the absurd, molding himself into something lifeless. And in the end, he finds he has lived as a shadow, a mere machine that strictly follows and searches for something that makes him a prisoner, not a man.
