In 1915, convicted Mexican revolutionary Wenseslao Moguel was sentenced to execution without a trial and was shot 9 times by a firing squad.

Miraculously, he survived all 9 shots including the "coup de grace”, one final round to the head at point blank range to ensure the job was done.
