Niantic has released Update 2.142.1 into the App Stores!
The release notes are sparse, only mentioning that the warning message Agents receive has been updated so that it only shows to Agents that recently signed into Ingress using a device that does not pass the Google Play Integrity Test.
Speaking of, Niantic has announced that the new integrity requirements will be in effect starting "no sooner than May 27th", which was yesterday. It is therefore possible that Niantic could activate the new requirements at any minute. If you have an unsupported device and want to continue playing Ingress we urge you to acquire a supported device as soon as possible.

Need a little incentive? The folks of the #RedFaction are sending out a special embroidered patch for giving blood! Simply take a photo of yourself with your Ingress agent IGN somewhere in the picture while 'raising a sleeve' (donating a pint of the dark red stuff). Post the picture to Social Media and fill out the form on the website! There is no time limit for receiving the patch, donating blood does not have to be done on June 14th specifically and can instead be done all year round!

One of our Field Reporters is donating plasma as we speak! In a plasma-only donation, the liquid portion of the donor's blood is separated from the cells. Blood is drawn from one arm and sent through a high-tech machine that collects the plasma. The donor's red blood cells and platelets are then returned to the donor along with some saline.
This type of donation takes longer (about half an hour up to 45 minutes after being hooked up), but is just as important as donating blood! Our Field Reporter will be able to use this time to relax, read or hear music.
