Update 2.158.1 has been released for Ingress.

After being used last in 2020 for the Perpetua Hexathlon, 5 years ago, the Ingress team is using their first party ticketing system again!

Before, Niantic has mostly used a third party site called Splashthat to sell tickets or add-ons to Events, like Swag kits, access to the after party and so on. This has now shifted back to the first party platform Niantic is managing themselves.

At the moment, the "Events" button in the main menu which lead to this first party platform in the past still links to the events news site, but in the future, it might allow Agents to buy tickets directly from the Scanner again.

In preperation for the +Alpha Global Campaign three item bundles has been marked as "featured" in the store, including the 5x Kinetic Capsule bundle. This leads us to believe that at least one of the Bounties for the Campaign could involve completing Kinetic Capsule programs.

If you want to prepare, make sure to have one or two Kinetic Capsules ready to claim!
