Agents that live in timezones that switched to summer time today are reporting issues logging in starting at 2300 local time which persist until midnight, after which these issues fix themselves. This is triggered by an older bug which doesn't play nice when the clock is set forward or backwards.
If you're affected, you can go into your devices settings and manually set your timezone to somewhere that didn't switch to summer time, like the US. Otherwise, just wait until midnight after which you should be able to play again.

The scanner has started to advertise the upcoming +Theta anomalies in the Dispatch menu!
It is likely that this is just a way to make the anomalies more visible and not an indicator of an upcoming campaign, although we'll keep you posted if it does happen to be a special campaign!

As just announced in the Wayfarer Community Forums by NianticTintino, Ingress will in the coming months, lose access to Wayfarer and will have a new system. Ingress players will still be able to view their previous contributions on Wayfarer after this change.
Pokémon GO players retain access to Wayfarer and will be able to nominate as usual.
There will be many questions, and few answers at present.
No clue what it means for this Channel or Discussion Group either, as we will soon have two different maps.
One for Ingress (and presumably Peridot) and any other Niantic Spatial games.
One for Pokémon GO, Pikmin Bloom and Monster Hunter NOW.
We would guess if you want a POI to appear in both Pokémon GO and Ingress after the split happens, you’ll need to nominate it in both games.

Agents are reporting that Overclock hacks are currently failing to calibrate due to an outage of the Niantic Spatial map which holds the VPS data. At the moment, there is nothing you can do to get Overclock hacks to work, we will have to wait until the map is back up.

On Tue Apr 15 at 10:30 AM PDT, we’ll disable Niantic Campfire and the Niantic Profile on Ingress. Additionally, we’ll temporarily pause new Portal nominations and Portal edits as well as new missions and mission edits until new solutions are ready at Niantic Spatial.
On Thu Apr 17, from 10:30 AM PDT to 4:30 PM PDT, we’ll temporarily disable account linking and unlinking, new account creation, and distance tracking. You may also experience issues using Sign in with Apple to sign into Ingress, but you should be able to sign in using Sign in with Google instead.
Sign in with Facebook will be removed as a login provider starting with Ingress version 2.165.1.

On the 5th of April 2025, in its very first operation, the Résistance Section Spéciale Sauvetage (R3S) made a huge impact.
This successful first attempt will be remembered as the revival of the French Resistance !

Ingress has released Update 2.164.1 into the App Stores!
The team is preparing to move over to Niantic Spatial! This update was released to aid with the transition and likely has a few code changes for that. After this update the team has mentioned that the regular 2 week update cycle will likely be disrupted for a bit, and the next update will remove Facebook as a log in method.
