Some small changes which were not mentioned in the Update notes:
- Apex, Frackers and Beacons now show their respective icon for the Boost category if they are the first item in that category. Before, it was a generic "Boost" icon which can still be seen in the store for the "Temporary Boosts" section. It is currently unknown if Fireworks and Battle Beacons also have a custom icon as both are technically Beacons in the code
- The notification for when you complete a Bounty has been updated to include a note that it is [DAILY] on the map screen. It stands to reason that tasks from the Campaign category will be marked with [CAMPAIGN] or similar to distinguish between them.
- When you complete your 2nd or 4th daily Bounty, the AP reward will now automatically Resync and update to be claimed. Beforehand, Agents often had to press the Resync button as the Scanner didn't realize that the tasks have been completed

The August Second Sunday has begun in the first regions of the world!
In case you are wondering, this Second Sunday does not have anything special activated in the Dispatch menu, instead "only" stating that the event is currently active. It does not keep track of your completed Missions.
You will still get the point for the Second Sunday badge as normal after you have completed 6 Missions.

The locations for the AMER Shard Skirmishes for the Shared Memories series are being revealed with the first three cities being ornamented! Instead of all of them showing up at once it seems like they'll go online at 4pm local time, so keep an eye out for any potential locations that might interest you!

As the Shared Memories Anomalies will be running this weekend Niantic has apparently suspended the daily Portal sync. Not to worry though: all edits and Portals that are accepted will sync to Ingress as normal once the Anomaly weekend is over. Update below!…
As it turns out this is completely wrong, the sync is currently still running normally and hasn't been suspended. Niantic has confirmed to us though that the sync will be affected sometime during the anomaly weekend, so if you do see something not syncing properly don't be alarmed and give it a few more days.
(that's what I get for blindly posting something someone else said without checking myself 🙈 /.ixm)
