The move to Niantic Spatial continues! The Support chat has now been given over to Niantic Spatial and has replaced the prior support flow. At the moment this also means that there aren't categories you can choose from for your support ticket, instead you can just seemingly simply write your question or report.

As Niantic continues its split into Scopely and Niantic Spatial Agents are reporting further issues. This time, it seems there are problems with C.O.R.E. being renewed: While the subnoscription is charged and marked as active by the Play Store/App Store, the scanner does not recognize the Agents C.O.R.E. status and removes all benefits.
At the moment, there does not seem to be a workaround for this issue. Affected Agents are encouraged to open a support ticket via https://ingress.com/support, and we will keep you updated with any new information.

Some people are reporting that canceling your subnoscription via the App Store/Play Store and then resubscribing via the Scanner will fix this issue. Until it is fixed otherwise we encourage you to try it out, you will not be charged double if your subnoscription is already active.

On May 2nd, Agent Virkon, from Sweden, was laid to rest: she left us far too soon on March 24th, 2025.
Virkon was a dedicated player, had been with us since the game started. She loved spending time with her family, with gardening being her biggest passion. She was a much-appreciated colleague and beloved friend, leaving a husband and two children behind.
Her closest friends on Ingress tied a wreath of the most beautiful memories with her, knowing that, in their hearts, they will never fade.
Our most heartfelt condolences go out to Virkon's friends and family.

🛑 SYNC STOPPED?
As Ingress releases its first app update under the Niantic Spatial banner, some Agents have mentioned that accepted Wayspots have not synced as Portals.
Whilst we wouldn’t expect the maps to have been split yet, and this may be a glitch, do be aware that any acceptances on Wayfarer will stop syncing to Ingress at some point Soon™️

The automatic Wayfarer sync has been turned off and now only syncs manually!
About two days ago the daily sync between Wayfarer and Ingress was turned off, which means that new submissions and edits will no longer automatically sync to Ingress.
According to Niantic, "while the map will no longer sync automatically per its usual schedule, there will now be manual periodic map syncs between Wayfarer and Ingress".

Agents have reported that some portals around the world have stopped decaying.
The phenomenon with frozen portals have earlier been spotted during 2024 and the cause still unknown.
A frozen portal seems to be unable to decay, and decay cant be triggered by any known way, besides if its neutralised and re-captured.
They will however gain a new timestamp if interacted with.
Niantic have earlier been able to restore the process of decay for these portals, and the portals have experienced double decay during the same day when started to decay again.

Bigger changes have been seen around the support system. The website ingresshelp.com has been shut down which was a mirror to ingress.com/support. While the latter is still active it has been noticed that the ability to open a support ticket via the website has been removed.
As Niantic Spatial won't have access to Niantics support system anymore a new instance has been created which can be found at nianticspatial.helpshift.com/hc/en/5-ingress/. For the moment, this is a copy of ingress.com/support, but is linked to in the Scanner store when the language is set to Japanese.

Finally, a completely new instance of a new support platform was created at support.ingress.com, using the Zendesk platform instead of the Helpshift platform Niantic has been using. This website is currently devoid of any support articles but does include a dedicated form for reporting Agents for Spoofing, multi-accounting or usage of 3rd-party software.
Zendesk allows the creation of multiple tickets which are saved to a Zendesk account, should you choose to create one, meaning you will be able to look back at past tickets and can create new ones without needing to wait for the previous one to be resolved.
