This weekend, six Enlightened agents came together to execute Operation Charlotte Thrives: Green Skies, a stunning, multi-million MU layered field over the Charlotte metro area. Spanning across three scoring regions, the op earned two agents their fielding badges and painted the sky green in spectacular fashion.

Anchors stretched from Clifton, SC, up through the South Carolina-North Carolina state line at South of the Border, and into High Point, NC.

⚔️ Last-Minute Tension:

With just 30 minutes left before checkpoint, unexpected blockers appeared, throwing the team into high gear. One of the anchor teams had to rush to a portal 30 minutes away to clear the path—just in time to throw the final layer seconds before checkpoint.

The excitement didn’t end there. A nearby RES agent reached the anchor almost immediately, dropping fields just as they went up. A brave agent made a 1km sprint to get a new layer out, only for RES to strike again, taking down the next anchor moments later.

But the Enlightened weren’t done yet. Three agents waited patiently until RES cleared out, then threw one final defiant layer, which held for two full hours after the op wrapped.

Machina has returned and the first portals have been turned red again. At the time of writing this post, around 40000 Portals worldwide have been infected.

With the return of Machina many Agents speculated that its short retreat was to prepare for red fields.

NIA researchers however have concluded that Machina is currently not "interested" in creating Fields and capturing the minds of humans.

We are getting reports from Agents in New Zealand, where it just hit midnight, that the main +Delta Reso Op has not been activated even though the event should have begun there a few minutes ago. We will keep you updated.

While the Campaign itself is not available yet, the +Delta Reso Points are already counting and are visible in your stats once you gain at least one point.

While the blog article for the event says that "Upgrading a Resonator with a Level 8 Resonator" gets you 10 points, it seems like this does not count if you upgrade your own Resonators.

We're aware and investigating an issue with the free +Delta Campaign: Reso not activating on Sat Jul 19 at 00:00 local time, and we'll post an update as soon as we're able. Thank you.

The issue has been fixed and the free Campaign is now available in regions where it is Saturday.

The free +Delta Campaign: Reso should now be active for Agents after Sat Jul 19 00:00. If it's Sat Jul 19 where you are and you aren't seeing the free campaign, then you may need to restart the Ingress app.

Please note that there are 4 active +Delta campaigns:

• +Delta Bounty Op. This is a free event.
• +Delta Campaign: Reso. This is a free event that starts Sat Jul 19.
• Reso Attacker. This is an optional paid bundle.
• Reso Builder. This is an optional paid bundle.

Agents are reporting that, in the second replay of the +Delta Reso Campaigns, objectives are raised by 25%!
We can expect similar increases in the successive replays.

The third run of the Campaign raises the objectives by a further 25% of the base value for a total of a 50% increase of the base Campaign objective.

The 4th run of the Campaign continues on with another 25% increase of the base values added to the prior run.

Agents from different parts of the world have reported that the +Delta Campaign: Reso suddenly vanished from their scanner.
The majority of agents are currently located within or close to a future anomalyzone for +Delta.
Some agents have been able to display the campaign after restarting the game, but for others the campaign is still not visible.
Agents from both factions seem to experience this bug.

In addition to the already known bonuses of 2x AP and 2x deploying L8 Resonators Niantic has now also revealed that, during Level 8 Week, Drone cooldown will be lowered to 8 minutes.
