With the +Beta Season nearing its end, this Sunday is/was the last opportunity to earn +Beta Tokens via the Daily Bounties. Agents in the earlier timezones can now confirm that the Daily Bounties are back to "normal", with all four of them awarding items again and the AP bonus being reinstated for completing 2 or 4 Bounties!

As Part Of The Collaboration With Paramount It Seems Like We Will Get A New Campaign In The Scanner Related To THE RUNNING MAN Movie!

Starting today at 18:00 UTC and running until the December 31st, 18:00 UTC Agent are able to take on a "Quest" (likely a Dispatch Campaign) and earn a Portal Fracker, an Apex and a Kinetic Capsule when completing it.

The event hasn't been officially announced yet and has only appeared on the Events tab on the Intel Map, so the exact details are still unknown. We will let you know here and on @IUENG once more details are available!

With the recent Ingress 3.1.2 update Agents on Android have reported that the Portal Nomination flow is broken. Specifically, once you need to enter the Portal Title and press OK, the noscript automatically clears up and doesn't save and it is impossible to even start typing the Portal Denoscription, breaking the Nomination flow.

A workaround until this is fixed is to use the "Enter" button on your phones keyboard instead of the OK button that most people normally press. This saves the Portal Title as expected and you can continue with the Nomination flow as normal to submit your Portal.

This does not seem to work for everyone and might depend on the keyboard you use. If you have issues with this workaround, try installing a different Keyboard from Google Play such as SwiftKey.

Agents on iOS have been having issues with Ingress randomly and rapidly flashing and flickering during gameplay. After Brian has acknowledged the issue a few days back on Reddit it seems like the team is now testing a potential fix supplied by Unity, which may or may not work. From this post however we can also see that the fix either didn't make it into the next update or the next update is still a few weeks out.

Gamma: A Hint at Something Bigger?

The latest anomaly series introduces a medal named Gamma, and its meaning may go beyond a simple noscript. Based on its design, the name likely references gamma rays—the most powerful form of radiation in the universe.

The medal also resembles astronomical depictions of TON 618, one of the largest known black holes, supporting a possible space-related theme. This aligns with Niantic Spatial’s announcement that this year’s anomalies will be space-influenced.

At the same time, Gamma fits into a familiar pattern. Earlier 2025 anomaly series—Delta, Theta, Alpha, and Beta—all reference brainwaves. Gamma waves, the highest-frequency brainwaves, are linked to peak focus and heightened awareness, suggesting Gamma could mark both a conclusion and a transition into something new.

In space science, gamma-ray bursts are the brightest and most powerful explosions ever observed. Could this be hinting at stronger anomaly effects—or even the introduction of an entirely new in-game weapon?

Niantic Spatial has released Update 3.2.1 for Ingress!

Dispatch Campaigns are now sorted to the top when there is a Bounty you can claim from them. Additionally, you can now also see which option you're choosing when holding the Hack button in the Portal details. Additionally, the inventory now shows you a hint that C.A.R.G.O. is available when you're near or at your inventory capacity and the Ingress app icon for Android has been fixed.

As far as we can tell, fixes for the Portal Nomination bugs have not made it into this release. Going by the recent post from the Ingress account on Bluesky, the fix for the screen flickering on iOS has not made it yet either, although we were not able to confirm this yet.

An anonymous Agent has sent us some information they found in the newest Ingress update regarding a potential new feature in development: the Bounty Pass.

⚠️ Before we dive into it, we want to stress that this is a feature that is still in development. It may be changed or abandoned altogether before Niantic Spatial decides to release it. All conclusions we are driving from the information we have gotten are also just speculations as we don't have insight into how exactly the code works.

The Bounty Pass seems to be a paid item that allows you to complete additional Daily Bounties over the normal limit of 4 per day. The Pass can seemingly expire after a certain amount of time, making it a timed purchase just like C.O.R.E. and C.A.R.G.O., and a Banner advertising the Pass will be present in the Dispatch screen. In addition to a check for if the feature itself is enabled at all there is also a check to see if there are Extra Daily Bounties available.

The exact duration and the amount of extra Bounties is not set in the code and is most likely controlled by the server, so we cannot speculate on these values. The idea of this item was explored in the Survey the Ingress team sent out in December, where it asked Agents about their opinion about "A way to earn more rewards via Daily Bounties". This Pass seems to build on the feedback the team received.

Is Ingress technically part of the Fortnite Extended Universe now?

With the recent announcement that the Virtual YouTuber Kizuna AI is joining the world of Fortnite, some sharp-eyed Agents have pointed out an interesting connection regarding the game's lore.

For those who remember the release of the Ingress Anime, the character ADA conducted a collaboration interview with Kizuna AI, who subsequently made a cameo appearance within the Anime itself.

By applying the transitive property of brand collaborations, we can therefore conclude:

1. Kizuna AI is in Fortnite.
2. Kizuna AI is canon in the Ingress Anime.
3. Therefore, Ingress is now technically part of the Fortnite Extended Universe.

We are currently awaiting confirmation on whether XMP Bursters will be added as loot drops in Tilted Towers or if the next Anomaly will feature a Battle Royale mode.
