Days before the Special Operation, on 18 February 2022 - Zelensky had explicitly stated Ukraine would not comply with the Minsk agreements and made claims about acquiring nuclear weapons & joining NATO.
This would lead to a retaking of Crimea and a resumed offensive on the unarmed people of Donbass - all of this was stipulated in official documents. Putin had 6 days to think & avoid a direct confrontation with NATO... 🕔
“We were forced to take action. If we had known what would happen [earlier], we would have conducted systematic and serious preparation. That's what I mean,” he added.
